“Trail Magic” book being published !!

Info

To all readers and fans of Joe Liles’ Appalachian Trail Hike:

I’m incredibly excited to announce the completion of TRAIL MAGIC, the paperback version of Joe’s/Braid’s reports from the trail. Its taken longer than expected, but I have a copy of the book in my hands here and it turned out beautifully. It contains 196 pages filled with all of Joe’s trail reports, related maps, and over 75 color photos personally selected by Joe to accompany his writing.

The cost of the book will be $25, and 100 copies will be available for sale directly by Joe at the NCSSM Alumni Weekend on October 15th when Joe will be doing a presentation about his hike. Joe will also be autographing each copy! Soon after that it will become available at Amazon.com (for $30 due to online overhead costs) and hopefully a few other vendors and I’m sure Joe will continue to have a boxful on hand to sell.

And if that wasn’t awesome enough, Joe has stated that ALL PROFITS from the sale of TRAIL MAGIC will be split between the Appalachian Trail Conservancy and a fund at NCSSM!!

So come out on October 15th at 3pm on the NCSSM campus to hear Joe speak and be the first to buy a copy of TRAIL MAGIC and support 2 great institutions!

I thought Joe and everyone else would enjoy this movie I discovered online today. Its an idea I had suggested to Joe but was just too difficult to pull off considering the fantastic storytelling blog he wrote instead.

A six month journey along the 2,200 mile long Appalachian Trail, condensed and reinterpreted into five minutes of stop-motion
